Banksy is an NHS Star

A painting by anonymous Bristol City supporting artist Banksy featuring a young boy playing with a superhero nurse doll has raised more than £16m for NHS charities after being sold at auction.

The painting which was delivered in secret to nurses at a hospital came with an accompanying note saying, “Thanks for all you’re doing. I hope this brightens the place up a bit, even if its only black and white.”

Dan Norris said: “Banksy is a star – his auctioned painting has raised millions for NHS charities. He painted it to boost NHS staff’s morale and to recognise their outstanding contribution in unprecedented times. The Government should take note of that and pay our NHS heroes properly.”
