Labour Leader Keir Starmer visited Bath today accompanied by Dan Norris. The pair talked to local residents and business owners in the busy city centre. Like many places with a big tourism and hospitality sector many Bath businesses have been hard hit by the pandemic.
Dan Norris has been critical of the current Metro Mayor’s failure to invest half of his High Street fund at a time that businesses are crying out for support.
He said: “It was good to see local businesses getting back on their feet as covid restrictions begin to ease. It’s so important we get behind local shops which is why I’ve been disappointed with the Conservative Metro Mayor’s lacklustre approach. It’s time for new leadership.”
