A-level and GCSE students from Chipping Sodbury school quizzed the Shadow Secretary of State for Education Kate Green MP as she visited their school.
Labour’s top education MP was the guest of Metro Mayor candidate and former Chipping Sodbury 6th former Dan Norris.
Mr Norris who studied for Chemistry, Physics and Biology A-levels at the school heard from today’s youngsters about taking exams during a global pandemic and their hopes for the future.
He said: “I’m grateful to Kate Green MP for swapping the corridors of power for the corridors of my old school. We are at Chipping Sodbury school to talk about exams but I have to say my best memories are from the basketball court! Mel Jeffries was an inspirational PE teacher. Chipping Sodbury school also taught me important lessons about responsibility and aspiration. They set me on a great path and it is fantastic to hear from today’s students about their ambitions for the future.”
