West of England Metro Mayor to appear on Any Questions

Metro Mayor Dan Norris will become the first West of England Metro Mayor to appear on Radio 4’s Any Questions this Friday 27 August.

The Labour Mayor will appear on the long running show which has been a fixture in the schedules since 1948.

The radio show is hosted by Chris Mason and will feature political debate and discussion live from the Stroud Subscription Rooms with the local Metro Mayor, alongside former MP Justine Greening, Mark Harper MP and Molly Scott-Cato.

Mayor Norris says: “From Brunel, to Concorde, to Wallace and Gromit, our region is amazing and this is a great opportunity to put the West of England on the map and share some of the fantastic things we are doing here on the national stage. It’s also important people from elsewhere realise that we’re not benefiting from the Government’s so called levelling up. I’ll keep making the case that we don’t just want to see resources shifting from the south to the north, they need to come West too. I am continually pushing to get money, resources and power out of London and into the West of England.”

The show airs live on Radio 4 at 8pm on Friday 27 August.
