Metro Mayor Dan Norris was in Midsomer Norton to flick the switch to turn on the Christmas lights.
The Town Council had done a fantastic job inviting Santa and handing out tasty mince pies.
Dan Norris said: “It was a pleasure to listen to the musicians, and I loved the snow machine! Now let’s support all our local shops on the High Street as we go Christmas shopping.”
