This World Book Day, Angel, First Dog of the West of England has been recreating an iconic scene from children’s classic ‘Where’s Spot?’
The day aims to encourage reading amongst children and is promoted in over 100 countries around the globe.
Reading for pleasure is the single biggest indicator of a child’s future success.
Metro Mayor Dan Norris (owner of Angel) said: “The West of England has produced amazing authors including JK Rowling who went to school in Winterbourne and Jacqueline Wilson from Bath. Reading can make a real difference to the lives of children because books are brilliant.”
